We hope the clinic will not only serve our equid patients but our small ruminant patients (goats, alpacas and llamas) as well. While having a veterinarian come to you might be more convenient and the better option in certain situations, there are occasions when having access to an on-site equine veterinary clinic is highly beneficial and even necessary for the health and safety of your horse. With our haul-in clinic, we can provide your horses with examinations, diagnostics, and treatment in a clean, well lit environment, free of dirt, debris, and wind and rain. This clean, comfortable environment makes treatment much safer by reducing the risk of infections during care. Additionally, it ensures that sick horses or horses that are in pain have exceptional shelter and a comfortable place to rest and recover throughout their treatment and recovery. Starting January 1st we will be taking haul in appointments on Monday and Wednesday 8AM-5PM.

 

 

The clinic will be set up for, but not limited to, the following:

•  Routine care: vaccines, coggins, health certificates and dental exams/teeth floating

•  Lameness and sport medicine evaluations: pre-purchase exams, joint injections

•  Diagnostics: digital imaging, ultrasonography, gastroscopy and endoscopy 

• Day time and night time client emergencies

• Repro evaluations

• overnight care in certain cases 

 

 

 

We will encourage existing clients to haul in for emergencies depending on location, and the nature of the emergency, it may be necessary for us to treat your animal at our clinic rather than your farm or home. We also insist all clients call the office to schedule an appointment. This will provide a smoother process for you while also giving our doctors more time to focus on their patients. Please keep in mind after losing two doctors this year we are now booking 3-4 weeks out. By utilizing the clinic, a farm call expense will be saved and could possibly guarantee a sooner appointment.

 

Clients who are no longer in our radius of coverage and new clients in outlying areas are encouraged to make appointments at our clinic for routine work, and will be offered emergency care at the clinic the same as our farm call radius clients. We know it can be difficult in rural areas to access large animal/ Equine veterinary care and hope this will give those owners an option.
